Japow.travel (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent ski travel website. We believe in being upfront about how the site is funded and how affiliate links work.

At the moment, we do not have affiliate integrations live. However, in the future we may partner with travel and booking platforms such as:

Map or trip-planning tools
Accommodation and activity aggregators (for example, Stay22)

When these are active:

Clicking on certain links or using embedded widgets may result in us earning a commission if you book or buy something.
Affiliate tracking is handled by our partners in line with their own privacy and cookie policies.

We do not receive your full payment or card details from these partners.

3. How affiliate links affect our content

Short version: Resorts can’t pay to change their Japow Score.

Our opinions, scores, and recommendations are independent.
We research resorts and experiences based on our own criteria (including the Japow Score), on-snow experience, data, and local knowledge.
We may include affiliate links after we decide a resort, hotel, or service is worth mentioning.
We do not add positive content just to create affiliate opportunities.
If we ever publish sponsored content (where someone pays specifically for coverage), it will be clearly labelled as “Sponsored” or “Paid Partnership”.

Our goal is that you can trust what you read, whether or not you click a link.

4. Why we use affiliate links

Running Japow.travel involves costs: hosting, tools, research time, and a lot of snow-obsessed writing.

Affiliate links help us to:

Cover ongoing costs of running the site
Avoid intrusive ads or pop-ups
Keep most content free to access

Using an affiliate link is a simple way to support the site if you find our guides useful.

5. Your choice

You are never required to use an affiliate link.

You can always search directly for the same hotel, tour, or service in a new tab if you prefer.
Using our links is entirely optional and does not change the price you pay.
